The event will be hosted by Wood-Mizer UK representatives in cooperation with the facility owner at The Oak Frame Company, Pancaedu, Trefnant, Denbigh LL16 5UL. 

Wood-Mizer, as a global manufacturer of wood-cutting equipment and accessories, has been providing the industry with the most advanced products and solutions for more than 40 years. In 2023 Wood-Mizer launched a few new machines to the market, including the four-sided MP280 planer/moulder and the LT15CLASSIC WIDE Battery Mill – the first ever sawmill to be run by a set of batteries that can be easily recharged at home.

On the display of the best Wood-Mizer equipment, you can watch in action the biggest and strongest professional LT70 sawmill in Remote and Mobile configurations. This sawmill is a well-proven machine for high-capacity production, recognized for its speed and accuracy of cutting while featuring a sturdy hydraulic bed and many automatic functions adding to the comfort of operation. 

We will also demonstrate the legendary LT40 sawmill, which revolutionized in the 1980s the way people converted logs to timber. It was the first machine made by Wood-Mizer that gave the beginning to the entire lineup of LT and LX sawmills. This time it will be presented in the configuration with a WIDE sawhead and a diesel engine. 

For those interested in occasional or low-volume production, we will showcase the LT15 sawmill – the best-seller known for its mobility and functionality in many applications. The LT15 sawmill will be presented in two configurations: as a CLASSIC Mobile sawmill and as a BATTERY-powered sawmill! 

The introduction of the Wood-Mizer electric battery sawmill is another step towards green energy on our planet. At LIGNA 2023 (Hannover, Germany), the LT15CLASSIC WIDE Battery Mill was presented as an industry-first sawmill powered by an electric battery. This new power source option available for the LT15WIDE will allow sawmillers to have an affordable electric sawmill with replaceable batteries that can be simply recharged at home.  

One of the most popular machines for expanding your sawmilling shop is a quick and efficient board edger Wood-Mizer EG300 and for making a variety of finished products, the 4-sided planer/moulder Wood-Mizer MP360 or a new 4-sided planer/moulder MP280 – the machine that has been developed to meet the constantly growing expectations of woodworkers. It is the second generation of a planer/moulder based on the proven MP260 unit, which has become a hot seller in Europe. Its successor, the MP280 planer/moulder, is a functional and versatile woodworking tool with a design including several technical solutions borrowed from the bigger MP360 planer/moulder.

The OPEN DAYS 2023, organized by Wood-Mizer UK, is traditionally an excellent occasion to find out what’s new in the wood-processing industry.
